Turbulence Tuesday | Cats Or Dogs?

10:56 Posted by Unknown No comments
Hello Again Everyone And Welcome Back To Turbulence Tuesday. Today We Will Be On A Totally Random Topic Once Again, And This Time It Will Be On Whether Cats Or Dogs Are Better. Now They Are Both Amazing Animals But I Have To Have A Favorite For Reasons That Will Soon Become Clear.

Cats
3 Reasons Why Cats Are Better Pets Than Dogs:

1. Even The Loudest Cats Are Quieter Than Any Dog
Cats Are Very Quiet And Sleek Animals As They Had To Naturally Stalk Their Prey Before They Were Genetically Bred To Be Household Pets

2. Cats Purr When They Are Happy Or Hungry
One Of The Best And Most Comforting Noises In The Animal Kingdom Is A Cat's Purr To Me. The Sound Is Just A Constant, Droning Sound That You Know Makes The Cat Feel Happy And The Noise Just Makes You Feel Warm

3. Cats Are Funnier Than Dogs
Now This Isn't The Same With All Cats But You Find All These Crazy Cat Pictures And Videos All Over The Internet That Are Actually Hilarious Sometimes Whereas You Just Don't See This Kind Of Comedy Coming From Dogs

Dogs

3 Reasons Why Dogs Are Better Pets Than Cats:

1. You Can Walk Them
Even Though A Lot Of People Class This As A Chore I Really Do Enjoy Taking Long Walks Just On My Own Pretty Much, And It's Even Better When I Walk My Dogs At 7 At Night When It Is Dark Around This Time But I Can't Do That In Summer As It Gets Too Late To Walk Them in The Dark.

2. They Chew Up Their Toys
Another One That Sounds Weird, People Say That Cats Take Better Care Of Their Toys Meaning They Appreciate Them More But I Think That The Dogs Chew Up Their Toys Because They Enjoy Playing With Them, A Sign Of Appreciation.

3. They Know When You Are Happy Or Sad
This One Sounds Like A Supernatural Load Of Crap But Having 2 Dogs I Can Safely Say This Actually Occurs. Sometimes When I Come Home Feeling Depressed Because I Have Failed At Something My Dogs Always Seem More Affectionate And They Know When To Back Off And Give You Some Personal Space.

The Conclusion, Which You Can Probably Already Conclude, Is That I Favor Dogs Over Cats Even Though I Have Had Cats For A Longer Period Of Time Than I Have Dogs I Think.

What Do You Prefer, Dogs Or Cats? And Why?

Anyway Thanks For Taking The Time To Read Through This Turbulence Tuesday. Check Out RandomIndi Here.
And As Always, Good Night...

Turbulence Tuesday | Favorite Dinosaurs

11:05 Posted by Unknown No comments
Hello Everyone And Welcome Back To Turbulence Tuesday! Today, As You Can Guess From The Title I Will Be Talking About My Favorite Dinosaur, Because As Promised This Will Be Completely Random And I Love Dinosaurs So Much So I Am Going To Be Saying My 3 Most Favorite Dino's. Enjoy:

1. Spinosaurus

If You Have Ever Watched Jurassic Park III Then You Will Know How Badass This Dinosaur Is! This Dinosaur Is An Apex Predator Meaning That It Was Top Of It's Food Chain And Was The Most Successful Predator In It's Local Area (Unless That Dinosaur Was Global, Then That Would Be An Extremely Successful Dinosaur). The Spinosaurus Was Found Where Northern Egypt Now Is.

2. Tyrannosaurus Rex

The Ultimate Badass Dinosaur That Everyone Has Heard Of, This Dinosaur Is The Al Capone Of The Dinosaur World. This Dinosaur Also Plays A Part In All The Jurassic Parks (I Love Jurassic Park So I Will Refer To It A Lot) And For A Good Reason! Like The Spinosaurus It Was An Apex Predator And Lived In North America, Asia And Australia. For This Dinosaur To Be An Apex Predator In All These Different Parts Of The World Is Impressive. The Spinosaurus And Tyrannosaurus Lived About 20 Million Years Apart Unfortunately So There Was Never A Cool Fight Between The Two.

3. Deinonychus

Now A Lot Of People Wouldn't Of Heard Of This Dinosaur But If They Have Watched Jurassic Park They Would Have Seen It Without Realising. Sorry To Burst Your Bubble But They Weren't Velociraptors In Jurassic Park :'( They Were Actually Sort Of Made Up Dinosaurs Modeled More Closely To Deinonychus. Deinonychus Was Also Another Apex Predator And Like All Of Them Were Carnivores. Deinonychus Lived Around North America And North South America. I Loved The Velociraptors In Jurassic Park Which Is The Reason It Is On My Top 3!

What Is Your Favorite Dinosaur?

Science Sunday | Atlantis

01:15 Posted by Unknown No comments
Hello Again Everyone And Welcome To Science Sunday! Today We Will Be Talking About Atlantis (Sort Of) When I Say Sort Of I Mean Not Literally. There Have Recently Been Plans Unveiled About A New Under Water City Structure That Could Mean The Lost City Will One Day Be Real.

Unfortunately It Will Not Look Like The Above Picture Which Is One Artists Conception Of 'The Lost City Of Atlantis' But It Looks Even Cooler In My Opinion. Anyway, The Under Water City Was Proposed By, Shimizu Corp, A Japanese Company As A Way Of Controlling The Current Over Population In The World. The City Would Use Energy From The Sea Bed. The Idea Of Making An Under Water City Is A Sort Of Counter Proposal To The Recent Suggestions Of Colonizing Mars And Making Giant, Floating Cities. If The Under Water City Was To Be Built It Would Be A Cheaper Option To The Other As It Doesn't Require Some Rocket To Another Planet Or A Huge, Floaty, Thing.

The City (Ocean Spiral As It Is Called At The Moment) Will Hold A Population Of Up To 5000 People. They Will Live In House In A Huge Under Water Sphere That Is 500 Metres In Diameter Which Will Fit Nicely Just Under The Water Of The Water. There Aren't Just Residential Areas In Their Though, They Have Hotels And Other Commercial Complexes.

The Dome Will Be Connected To A 15 Km Long Path That Winds Through The Sea Towards A Building Located At The Ocean Floor, About 4000 Metres Below The Surface. This 'Earth Factory' Would Serve As A Hub For Scientists To Mine Natural Resources Such As Copper And Zinc Which In Turn Would Then Create More Jobs For The 'Local Residents' So They Aren't Completely Bored.

I Think If I Was Living In This Place After All This Time I Would Get Extremely Bored :/ You Would Be Breathing In Recycled Oxygen Because They would Extract It From The Sea Bed And You Would Be Restricted In This Little Dome With, Presumably, No Contact With The Outside World Apart From Stuff Like Skype And Phones. Even Though I Say This I Would Absolutely Love To Live Under The Sea In This Dome.

What Do You Think It Would Be Like Living In This Dome And Would You Like To Live Here?

Even Though This May Sound Like An Over Active Imagination Shimizu Corp Believe It Could Be An Actual Thing In The Future And They Are Going To Try And Get This Made One Day. “This is a real goal, not a pipe dream,” Shimizu spokesman Hideo Imamura told The Guardian. “The Astro Boy cartoon character had a mobile phone long before they were actually invented—in the same way, the technology and knowhow we need for this project will become available.”

Anyway Thanks For Taking The Time To Read Through All This, The Science Sunday's Will Usually Be Quite Long But That's What I'm Expecting. Please Follow My Blog If You Enjoy This Post And Check Out RandomIndi's Blog Too. Good Night!

Turbulence Tuesday | Abandonded Places

11:00 Posted by Unknown No comments
Hey Guys And Welcome Back, Today We Will Be Talking About A Very Interesting But Also Rather Creepy Topic: Abandoned Places In The World This Topic Doesn't Have Much To Talk About So This Post Will Have A Lot Of Pictures And Not Much Talking But I Hope You Enjoy Anyway  (Some Of The Pictures Are Small So I Recommend Clicking Them To Enlarge)

I. Willard Asylum - Willard, New York

This Place, As Any Other Asylum, Is Creepy As Hell. The Fact That It Is Still So Well Preserved But At The Same Time Totally Run Down. All The Little Details Like The Old Glasses Still On The Table Make This Place Seem Even Creepier. I Would Personally Love To Walk Around This Place After Dark On Like A Ghost Walk Because It Just Seems So Creepy.
It Was Built In 1869 And Closed In 1995 And Housed 4000 Patients At It's Peak

II. Farmhouse - Seneca Lake, New York

It Seems That The Creepiest Places Are In New York! Anyway This Place Literally Looks Like Something You Would See In A Horror Movie, All The Abandoned, Old, Run Down Cars Just Lying Around Everywhere And Then The Old Rotting Farmhouse In The Background Is Really A Scene Out Of A Horror Movie O.o I Must Get On The Phone To Someone And Make This Place A Movie

III. House Of The Bulgarian Communist Party

This Place Is One Of The Abandoned Places That Actually Amazes Me.. It Just Looks Like Something Out Of A Sci-Fi Film, It's Stunning. I Can't Actually Believe This Is An Actual Place On Earth, I Would Love To Go Here One Day, It Almost Looks Like The Bottom Of Some Sort Of UFO. The Ground Is Actually Just Snow, As This Is Located In Bulgaria, And Not Some Sort Of Moon Dust Because It Seems Like That.

The House Of The Bulgarian Communist Party Was My Favorite One, What's Yours?

Anyway Thanks For Taking The Time To Read And If There Is Any Way I Can Make These Posts More Interesting And Less 'Waffly'. Check Out RandomIndi's Blog Here

The Return

12:03 Posted by Unknown 2 comments

Hello Again Everyone, I Know It Has Been A While Since My Last Proper Post But Things Have Been Very Stressful At The Moment So Hopefully Everything Will Even Out Now. I Will Also Still Be Making The Podcast But That Will Be Uploaded Onto YouTube Until I Get Some Money To Host It. Today Will Just Be A Completely Random Upload About Something That I Hate But Affects Me: Atychiphobia. Some Of You May Be Asking What This Is, And Why It's So Bad But All Will Be Revealed.

Basically Atychiphobia Is The Fear Of Failure And Is One Of The Worst Fears A Person Can Have Personally. Recently It Has Come Out A Lot More And Can Actually Make Me One Depressed Guy. It Can Affect You More Than You Would Expect, When People Hear This They Think You Just Get A Bit Nervous When Walking Into Tests And Stuff Like That But It Affects You With Everything You Do In Your Everyday Life. I'm Going To Share With You Some Of The Affects It Has And My Personal Experience With Them.

1. Nervousness
This Is The Biggest Thing By Far That Is Caused By Atychiphobia And Can Affect Even The Smallest Decisions. The Nervousness Caused By This Can Affect Little Things You Do Like With Me I Can't Put Up My Hand In Class Because I'm Afraid I'll Say Something Wrong And Then Everyone Will Think I'm Stupid. This Nervousness Can Also Affect Making New Friends, For Example In My Science Class (Not Going To Mention Which One) I Sit Next To A Girl Whom I Really Like But I Can Not Talk To Her At All, If She Starts Conversation With Me I Just Reply As Quick As I Can And I Want To Continue The Conversation But I Just Can't As I Feel I Might Faint Or Say Something That'll Make Her Think Less Of Me

2. Faintness
I Have Never Fainted In My Life But I Feel Faint All The Time And Occasionally Dizzy. This Mostly Occurs For Me When Talking To New People And Even More So When Talking To 'Said Girl'. This Is A Really Uncomfortable Feeling As It Makes You Not Think Straight And You Feel Like An Idiot. This Faintness Kinda Links Into Panic Attacks Which I Don't Get Regularly But They Have Happened In The Past And Are Really Annoying Really.

3. Overall Feelings Of Dread
This Kinda Links Back To Nervousness As Nervousness Can Make You Feel Dread. Now I Am Usually A Happy Guy But On Tuesday Somethings Happened During My 4th Period Class And I Got Really Upset For The Rest Of The Day And  A Bit Of The Next Day, This Was Caused By These Feelings Of Pure Dread. I Was Dreading Going Into My Last Lesson Because I Know That When I Am Upset People Aren't Used To Seeing Me Like It And I Hate Being The Center Of Attention Most Of The Time. I Am Still Feeling A Bit Upset After That But It Will All Clear Up Soon Enough.

Now This Has Been My Personal Insight To Atychiphobia Which May Or May Not Relate To Some People But I Feel Like I Have To Let It All Out Which Is What These Posts Are About Really.

Anyway Thanks For Staying This Long And Reading I Really Appreciate It. The Podcast As I Mentioned Earlier Is Going To Be Coming Out Soon And The First Few Editions On YouTube. I Have Also Decided To Keep Posting By Writing Once A Week Parallel To The Podcasts. Anyway Thanks For Reading So Much And Sorry For The Lack Of Posts! Good Night

Apologies

10:16 Posted by Unknown 1 comment

Hello Again Everyone And Today I Would Like To Apologize For The Lack Of Posting, I Have Been Trying To Start Up My Podcast But It Is A Lot More Difficult Than I Expected, And How It Will Be Recorded This Week Hopefully And If I Can't Host It As A Proper Podcast To Begin With I Will Upload It To YouTube So That It Will Be Out Sooner Because It Does Cost Money To Set Up A Podcast And I Have None At The Moment So I Will Try To Get On That As Soon As Possible :D I Will Try To Keep Posting On My Blog Until The Podcast Comes Out And Then When It Does My Uploads Will Be Very Minimum But I Will Post Every Time I Upload A New Podcast :P

Anyway I Hope You Guys Can Forgive Me For This Hold Up As I Have Been Very Busy Lately, Hiking For Something Called 'Ten Tors' Which Is Basically A 35 Mile Hike Over 2 Days Which May Not Sound Like Much But Trust Me, It Is. Anyway I Will Hopefully Keep Consistent For A While Until The Podcast Comes Out :) Thanks For Reading

Hello again everyone and today I would like to apologize.. I have not been uploading the past couple of weeks and I have been rather busy but that's not the reason I wasn't uploading. I stopped uploading for two reasons really.

1. Over the last couple of weeks I was uploading for the only followers I had amounted were friends from school who most of them didn't even read my blog

2. I wasn't really getting the feel that blogging was for me :/ I felt like it was a chore that I had to do it but now recently I have got back in the groove and I have loads of ideas!

I am going to start uploading again (YAY) and there will be 3 (!) uploads today. I am going to carry on as I said I would in my first upload. So I hope you enjoy my blog and tell your friends :)

Factual Friday

09:22 Posted by Unknown No comments
Hello again everyone and welcome back to Factual Friday! This week on Factual Friday we have ten facts all about CRAZY LAWS. Enjoy :)

1. In Iceland it is illegal to infringe on the property of magical creatures and in 2013 elf advocacy group halted the construction of a large highway project due to the potential impact on elves along the route and a recent survey in Iceland found 62% believe it's possible that elves exist.

2. In Oklahoma, USA, you can be fined, arrested or jailed for making ugly faces at a dog. Dogs however must have a permit signed by the mayor in order to congregate in groups of three or more on a private property.

3. Chewing gum is completely illegal in Singapore since 1992, there is also a ban on importing chewing gum into Singapore, except for nicotine gum but you can only get it from a doctor with a prescription.

4. Singapore is full of crazy laws apart from chewing gum, did you know it is also illegal in Singapore to urinate in a lift, walk around the house naked and not flushing a public loo?

5. Hong Kong has a law that allows the wife to kill her cheating husband. The only drawback is that she can only do it with her bare hands.

6. By a very old law in England it’s illegal to consume mince pie on Christmas Day. They were banned in the 17th century as an effort to tackle the gluttony. It has never been rescinded, so it is still illegal.

7. In 2013, China passed a law that legally requires children to visit their parents “often” and attend to their parent’s “spiritual needs”. However “often” is indeed a subjective term.
In France, you can’t name your pig Napoleon because it’s an affront to its noble human counterpart, Napoleon Bonaparte.

8. In Minnesota, USA, it is against the law to hang female and male underwear together on the same washing line.

9. In the city of York, Britain, if a Scotsman is carrying a bow and arrow, you are allowed to murder him within the ancient city walls.

10. In Iowa, USA, it’s illegal to kiss a woman in public if you own a big mustache on your face and in Cedar Rapids, Iowa it is illegal for women to kiss their husbands on a Sunday.

Thank-You for taking the time to read through this blog and I hope you enjoyed. If you like this post or any other of my posts then please follow the blog to keep up with all the latest stuff and show your appreciation by leaving a comment down below! Tune In On Sunday For More

Turbulence Tuesday

12:25 Posted by Unknown No comments
Well hello again everybody and welcome to the first edition of Turbulence Tuesday. This will hopefully be a weekly thing where I will talk about a random subject related to nothing at all using this random topic generator. Enjoy! Today we shall be talking about decisions you like to put off.

As everyone in life I have things that I like to put off or if its extreme -like talking to a girl that I like- sometimes just not do it at all. This is really bad as I have learned by actually talking to this person every once in a while. Alot of the time people who put these types of things off should really just count to three, then do it, this helps alot as it stops you from over thinking things like I do. Now I will talk about things that people put off everyday:

1. Talking to pretty girls
Everyone does this at some point of the day especially if you have feelings for this person. You could be standing across the room from them but all you would do is awkwardly stare at them for an hour and not actually end up saying a word to them. This could be avoided by actually just going up to her. Don't over think the situation just walk up to her and say hello, ask her about how she is, whats been going on in her life and if you run out of topics just look around for one.

2.Pursuing Your Dreams
This one isn't as common but can be very bad for you if this happens to you. Sometimes when someone has a 'dream' or life goal that they think their friends or people in their class may find stupid, funny or just unobtainable then people will put aside these dreams and go on a different life course.

This happened to me during year 8. In year 8 I was totally unfocused and quite rude and disrupting really but I wanted to be an Astrophysicist. When I told someone about this they just laughed and I acted like it was a joke. So I never told anyone else until about halfway through year 9 after I became top of the class in my Sciences and people asked me what I wanted to do. I regret ever keeping this back as people could have helped me get back on track quicker than it took me to.

My advice is never to keep your dreams back, if you have dreams never keep them quiet, always tell people so they can help you.

3. Standing Up For Yourself
This is probably one of the biggest things in adulthood and childhood. Alot of the time people just act like it's just a bit of banter and play but the other people around you can always see if it's meant to be spiteful or not but they will never tell you. Always look out for yourself and for your friends as you or they may be getting bullied but maybe not even realizing it.

If you do realize it then don't try to tuck it away inside let it out, tell someone, doesn't have to be an adult but maybe a friend so they can stand up to this person next time they do something like this. Bullying is not nice at all and personally it disgusts me when someone is getting bullied and they pretend like it's not happening because they bully gets away with it.

Even in adulthood you can get bullied by your work colleagues and sometimes even your bosses. Even though this is a rarer occurrence it still helps to be open about these things, tell your superiors and get these people seen to so they don't bother you or anyone else again.

Don’t Regret It, Instead Do It

There is never enough time to do it all.
Stop putting these things off today.
Do what you need to do. And what you have been meaning to do.
You might not get another chance.
Question: What’s on your list? What are you putting off?

Thank-You for reading this week and hope you enjoyed!

Science Sunday

08:36 Posted by Unknown No comments
Hello again everyone and have you ever wondered where the man in the moon came from? Was it asteroids, comets, meteorites? Well actually it was none of the above. Scientists have found out that it was actually something that you would not expect...

A team using NASA's Gravity Recovery and Interior Laboratory (GRAIL) has discovered that the trademark lunar topography is actually due to a massive ancient plume of magma. The research was led by Maria Zuber of MIT and the results were published in Nature with Jeff Andrews-Hanna as the first author.

Zuber's team analyzed data obtained by two probes during the GRAIL mission in 2012. Variations in the density of the lunar surface caused very slight dips in gravity, which caused one probe to slow down and the second one to slightly catch up. When the trailing probe passed over the same area, it also slowed down. These various differences in distance between the probes were recorded, charting where variations in the gravitational field were. The probes mapped the entire lunar surface using this inchworm-like method.

The Procellarum region is a not quite circular area almost as wide as the United States. Topography readings made it a fairly plausible assumption that the moon was struck by a massive asteroid, with smaller collisions occurring later, deforming the large crater's circular shape. However, gravity field readings have indicated that the crater isn't circular at all; it has sharp 120-degree angles that rule out an asteroid collision.

“A lot of things in science are really complicated, but I’ve always loved to answer simple questions,” Zuber said in a press release. “How many people have looked up at the moon and wondered what produced the pattern we see — let me tell you, I’ve wanted to solve that one!”

Instead, Zuber and her team believe that a large plume of magma built up beneath the surface of the moon. This pressure caused the surface to crack and the magma to cool at the surface, forming the sharp angles that are seen around the basin. These giant tension cracks then formed a network, which Zuber referred to as a "plumbing system" for magma within the moon, providing access to the surface.

In order to thoroughly investigate the origin of this magma plume, the researchers believe it might require a specialized mission by a probe able to take seismic and heat readings from far below the lunar surface.

Well thank-you all for taking the time to read through and if you like then follow for weekly updates on Science and more!

Factual Friday

09:50 Posted by Unknown No comments
Hopefully I will be able to keep up from now on. Anyway this week we will be looking at ten facts about THE UNIVERSE. Enjoy :)

1. Almost every element in your body was made in an exploding star.

2. Each of a tarsier’s eyeballs is as big as its brain.

3. There are about 7,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 atoms in a human body. Thats 7 Octillion! (Alot)

4. There’s a gas cloud in the constellation of Aquila that contains enough alcohol to make 400 trillion trillion pints of beer. (Not Quite Carling)

5. The Milky Way has four spiral arms, not two.

6. You can listen to what interstellar space sounds like. (Click The Link Its Worth A Listen)

 7. Our first ancestor to walk on land was a four-legged fish called Tiktaalik.

8. There are roughly 2 pints of water in every cubic foot of soil on Mars.

10. If you removed all the empty space from the atoms that make up all the humans on Earth, the remaining mass could fit inside a sugar cube.

Well Thank-You for staying and reading this week's factual Friday and stay followed if you aren't already for this and more!

Quick Update

08:54 Posted by Unknown No comments
Hello again everyone, and today I will just be updating my blog to tell you whats going on.
You may have noticed that I haven't uploaded recently and that's because I have been really busy in the recent week and I have been really tired and have had no time to upload. All of this should be sorted this week and the updates will come as usual :)

Factual Friday

08:24 Posted by Unknown 1 comment
It's Friday! And that means that its time for the top ten facts of the week! This week we will be on a random topic that has nothing to do with anything else in this blog: CLOTHES

10. There is a bra that doubles as a gas mask. It’s meant to be snapped off and put over the mouth in the event of an emergency.

9. When Disneyland opened in 1955, it had a lingerie store right on Main Street, called Hollywood-Maxwell Intimate Apparel. It included an animatronic figure called the Wizard of Bras. WHAT?!?!

 8. According to Icelandic folklore, if you don’t get new clothes to wear for Christmas, there is a giant Yule Cat that will eat you.

7. Up until around 1910, it was totally common for little boys to wear dresses until they were around 5 or 6.

6. After its modern debut, the bikini was banned in Belgium, Italy, Spain, and Australia, and it was declared a sin by the Vatican.

5. Designer Rudi Gernreich took the bikini to the next level in the 1960s with the monokini, which was a one-piece swimsuit with a completely exposed top.  (No Pictures For This One :))

4. Barbie’s first outfit? A black-and-white striped one-piece swimsuit.

3. A man designed GPS-programmable shoes that are activated by — you guessed it — clicking your heels together three times.

2. The world’s longest wedding dress has a train that’s 1.85 miles long. It required approximately three miles of taffeta and 18 feet of lace to produce. Crazy.

1. The first high heels were worn by both men and women. Men wore them because the heel allowed for extra stability when riding horses — it kept the foot secure in stirrups. By around 1740, the trend had died out.

And that was it, tune in again on Sunday for Science Sunday and next Tuesday for Turbulence Tuesday!

Thank-You For Reading!
